What to Do If You Have a Dental Emergency

Please contact us as soon as you have a dental emergency so we can book an appointment for you. You’ll also find our dental team can offer advice on how to deal with the problem until you see our dentist.
Dealing with an Avulsed (Knocked Out) Tooth
If you knock out a tooth you will need to act quickly. Pick up the tooth and wash off any visible dirt. You can then try to reinsert it yourself, gently holding it in place until you can get to see us, or put it is a small container with water or milk and come to our practice as soon as you can. It is sometimes possible to reinsert teeth, but only within the first half an hour to an hour.
